It’s Ten Tips Tuesday again! Today’s tips will be 10 things you can use baking soda for.

  • Deodorizing the refrigerator and freezer. They even make special boxes for you frig that won’t spill.Baking soda absorbs the odor.
  • You can sprinkle it on your carpet to use as a deodorizer. Let sit for 15 minutes and then vacuum them up. Arm and Hammer even makes baking soda that takes pet odors out of your carpet.
  • Baking soda can be used as stain remover. Sprinkle some onto a stain, scrub and let sit overnight. Then just launder the clothing as normal.
  • It is great at putting out all sorts of fires, especially a grease fire. Plus, it won’t damage anything.
  • I’ve used baking powder to clean out my garbage cans. Sprinkle some in and let sit for a little while. Add some water, scrub if need be, and rinse. Nice smelling garbage cans and no harsh chemicals.
  • A paste made out of baking soda and water cleans just about anything! Use it to clean counters, sinks and so much more.
  • Got a pan that is badly burned? Pour a large amount of baking soda in pan and add enough water to moisten. Let stand overnight and then scrub.
  • Run out of toothpaste? You can make a paste out baking soda and water.
  • You can use baking soda to erase crayon, ink, and furniture scuffs from painted surfaces.Just use a sponge sprinkled with baking soda and scrub.
  • Throw a cup of baking soda in each load of laundry to keep your clothes looking and smelling their best.
