We have been trying to finish up shopping for birthday gifts for the little man and working on Christmas gifts for the kids. We ended up finishing shopping for Little Princess and are about half way done with the 2 other kids. We’re trying to make the money stretch as far as possible because we only have about $100 for each kid budgeted this year. We have already bought some gifts and when we were at Walgreens we did get Little Princess a tea set and some other little things (check out my post from yesterday). So here are the awesome deals we got:

I had an old gift card for Circuit City that I wanted to use. I didn’t know how much was on there, but I was guessing there was at least a few. I bought King Fu Panda for the kids as a family present. It was $14.99 plus tax and after my gift card ended up being $7.30. Cool Beans!!

Then we were off to KB Toys. They had quite a few toys 30% off. In addition to some good sales, they also had a deal where if you bought more than $30 worth of toys, you received a gift card for $10 off $30 that was good from November 13 until Thanksgiving. So, we bought our 10yr old a Transformers chess game that was on clearance for $10. It looks really awesome and I  think him and the hubby will have a lot of fun playing it. We bought the Little Man a dump truck that was on sale for $12 which will be his birthday present today!! The for Little Princess we bought a baby that is in a carrier for $12.99 on sale from $17.99. So, we did really well there and will be using the $10 card to buy more toys for the 10 yr old and Little Man, since Little Princess is now done.   

Next up was Toys R Us. I was quite shocked at how much their prices have come down in the last few years. I never used to shop there because they were too pricey. We got quite a bit there:

• Aquadoodle mat - on clearance for $24 … two little ones to share
• Sleeping Beauty on dvd on sale for $15.99 … family present
• Mets shorts set - size 24 months  - on clearance for $4.40 - for the little man next year
• Mets body suit - size 24 months - on clearance for $4.40 - for the little man next year also
• Mickey Mouse outfit for Little Princess for Christmas - 50% off - $7.49
• 1 GB clip-on MP3 player for 10yr old - $24.99
• Wagon for the two little ones for Christmas - $20 off - $49.99

     I also had a $3 off $3 card from Little Man being part of the Toys R Us Club. I will have to sign the other two kids up so that they can get these for their birthdays too. Overall we did REALLY good and we are almost done with Christmas shopping. I want it all done before Thanksgiving because I HATE crowds. Plus if shopping is done, I can really enjoy the holidays because I am not stressed out over what I am going to buy everyone.
