Can’t Stand the Cold! Monthly Shopping Part I

Published by couponqueenofcorning at 9:26 am under FrugalLiving, family Edit This

We went grocery shopping on Wednesday night and it was SOOOO cold outside! I hate winter! I hate being cold! I wouldn’t mind winter so much if I could just stay inside the whole winter and hibernate. LOL. I also hate taking the kids out in such cold weather. So, as we walked into Sam’s Club, I decided we should start shopping once a month. We don’t live paycheck to paycheck, so shopping once for the whole month is not going to hurt us in the pocketbook.

Since I do not have classes until December 1, my goal for the next week and a half will be to do a December meal plan. We will begin our once a month shopping on December 4th, when hubby gets paid. Between now and then I can also figure out approximately how much we use of certain items like oatmeal, coffee, etc. Then I will buy just what we need for the month and nothing extra. We will still have to buy milk and produce weekly, but hubby can always go out and grab those things on his way home from work or I can on my way home from my classes.

Once I finish I will post a link to my December meal plan calendar and shopping list so everyone can see. Does anyone else plan and shop for the whole month? Leave me a comment.
