Hey everyone. I have a new look to my blog. Do you like it? I have just started doing my own backgrounds and unfortunately mine do not look like this… yet! lol. But I am getting better at them. I did make the banner at the top though! This background was made by One Cute Blog . Please go look at the site. With so many different backgrounds to choose from, who could keep from changing up their blog?
I’ve also been spending time at The Cutest Blog on the Block . There is a lot of free templates on there for your blog. Also has tutorials on how to make your own signature, background, and more. So, go take a look at that blog. I know you will like it. If you have any questions or comments, please remember to leave them.

There’s been so much talk of the economy getting worse lately, that, honestly, it’s starting to even make me concerned. What would happen if hubby lost his job? Since he is the only one working it would be very tough on us. We really need to get our baby EF (emergency fund) brought back up to $1000. We had more than this last month, but had to pay a little over $1100 in lawyer fees in order to have 3 acres transferred to us. So, that is pretty wiped out now. We are in the process
of taping a bunch of my kids favorite programs, like Dora, Diego, Mickey Mouse, Backyardigans, etc, and will be reducing our digital cable down to the really basic cable (channels 2-13 for about $10 a month). This will save us about $40 a month! We don’t need to be watching a lot of tv anyways.
Once we get our baby EF funded again, I think we need to work on saving at least 3 months worth of wages. I did figure out what hubby would get if he had to go on unemployment and what our mandatory expenses are, and there was plenty as long as we paid off our credit cards, and got rid of cable and our cell phones (we would get trac phones for emergencies). We only have a few thousand in credit card debt, so we are planning on paying that off with our income tax return.
I know that we would be fine no matter what happens. I could always go get a job if I needed to. Though I am taking classes right now and would like to finish up, I would do whatever needed to be done. Worst case scenario, we both get minimum wage jobs working in a store or whatever, and we would still be able to pay for everything we need. Although I do not think that it would get to that point because we both have a lot of experience. Hubby has quite a few years as a CNC machinist and has experience doing electrical work. I will soon have an associates that is in the computer field, and I have experience as an administrative assistant and a shift manager at a fast food restaurant.
So, are you worried about your job or your spouses? Are you becoming concerned about the economy? What steps are you taking to prepare yourself / your family in case something does happen? Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts.
