Thanksgiving Grocery Shopping
If you haven’t started shopping for Thanksgiving dinner yet, you better get going! Thanksgiving is Thursday! LOL. Even if you are eating at someone else’s house, now is a great time to buy food at a great price. We went shopping last week and bou
ght a turkey for $.39 a pound with a $15 purchase. So, we bought a 20+ pound turkey for less than $8. We can get a lot of meals out of that. We will have a turkey dinner, then we can have hot turkey sandwiches, and put it in any meals I would normally put chicken in. We don’t eat dark meat in my family, so all that meat will go in the freezer to be used in such things as turkey and biscuits, turkey soup and anything else I can think of.
You can also get some other really good deals. I bought Stovetop stuffing at Target for $.79 last week and many stores are having sales on veggies and potatoes. So, now is a really good time to stock up on those things we eat on Turkey Day but also eat regularly. Use your coupons and make the most out of the sales. Check out the Sunday paper for coupons or go online and get coupons. At Target, you can use their coupons in combination with your manufacture coupons to maximize your savings!
If you have anything to add, leave me a comment.
