HASAY Update January 5

Published by couponqueenofcorning at 10:26 pm under FrugalLiving Edit This

Well, we’ve been doing pretty well here in terms of diet. I’ve been good and resisted the urge to make no bake cookies this weekend. I have this terrible habit of when hubby goes to work (he works overnights) that I want to make a goodie. Bad me. Of course, I couldn’t resist my craving for chocolate totally so I ate peanuts and chocolate chips. If you throw a bit of both in your mouth, it’s almost like eating chocolate covered peanuts. The important thing was that I did not give in. Or maybe the reason I didn’t make them is the fact that then I would have had to do up more dishes. I hate dishes. Plus I was pretty comfy at my computer, and then reading Twilight (third book). Eh, so I was too lazy to get up, even for chocolate. LOL. I don’t know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. LOL.

We’ve been watching our portion sizes and trying to reduce the amount of pasta we eat.  I actually stood there and counted out 24 frosted mini wheats (serving size) this morning! lol. I was actually full after I ate it, so that is good. Last night I made panninis for the first time. I made them with low fat mozarella and ham. I don’t have one of those fancy pannini makers, but I do have a George Foreman grill, and it worked just fine. They were oh so tasty.

We ate at Wendy’s Friday when we did our once a month shopping trip. We decided then that the day we do our food shopping, will be an eating out day. My goal is to only eat out once a month and to do it in conjuction with the shopping. Well, back to Wendy’s. I was very good. I ordered a club with grilled chicken instead of fried, caesar salad instead of fries and a lemonade (about 20 calories or so - I get sick of diet soda sometimes). Hubby got the same thing. I know that we need to splurge sometimes so I figure when we do our once a month dining out we will eat at a nice restaurant. My husband loves Chili’s and I like Olive Garden, so these will be the type of places we will be going to.

Exercise: What exercise? yeah. I haven’t started the whole exercising twice a week yet. It is still my goal and I am hoping that this week I will meet that goal. With The Biggest Loser’s new season starting tomorrow that should help increase my motivation (at least that’s what I am hoping).

My goal for this week is to use the 50 Million Pounds website (this is from the nutritionist from the show Celebrity Fit Club) and update daily my food intake and my exercise.

Beginning Weight 12/15: 201.5 pounds
Current Weight: 199 pounds
Short-Term Goal Weight: 180
Long-Term Goal Weight: 145/150

    for casey..
hehe. I wanted to make NO BAKE cookies. LOL. They take all of ten minutes total. They’re quick and very addicting !!!!

    for jen…
the only reason I can count them out is because my toddlers are in their booster seat and high chair, patiently (yeah right!!) waiting for their oatmeal.
