Our New President and First Family
Yesterday was an exciting day. The inauguration of Barack Obama was an historic day that I will always remember. We had CNN on all day and all night until the end of the balls. I am really excited to have Obama as president because we need change and we need it now.

I was so happy to see these two gone! See you later! Buh-bye! Don’t come back. The policies of the last eight years is why we are in the state we are in now. The war in Iraq, recession, taking away of rights. I am glad it is over. I am also glad that Obama is starting to close Guantanamo already. Not that I do not think these people are guilty, but they need their day in court. Suspending habeas corpus just because the base is in another country is ridiculous. Not to mention it breaks a lot of world policies on prisoners of war and torture. I think we will now have a president who has morals and believes
in peoples’ personal freedoms. Out with the old regime, in with hope.
I really like ho
w the Obama family is so close. You can see it in the way Obama looks at Michelle and how he interacts with the girls. This gives me hope that he will be focused on what is right for the American families. By the way the yellow outfit she wore was very stunning and the white gown was just gorgeous. It was hard to tell at first how the gown looked because of the lighting at the first ball. But the more I saw it the more I liked it. Although I would have preferred she wore a bright color - they look so nice on her. I also wanted to comment on how sharp Obama looked at the inaugration. That suit was sharp and the red tie was just the finishing touch.
Oh, and how can we forget about the girls. Beautiful. They were just so darling in their bright coats. You can tell that the youngest is daddy’s little girl. She’s just adorable. It is nice to have an actual family with kids in the White House. we can watch them grow up into young women. It should be four interesting (though I am sure it will be 8).
And the prize for ugliest dress goes to:
Hilary Clinton. Come on
. That is one ugly dress! Bill, where were you on that one? Seriously, you should have told her it was awful!!! Hilary usually doesn’t dress that bad. What were you thinking woman? You’re about to be Secretary of State and you wear that ugly frock!!
Ok, so I will stop babbling about the inauguration and how excited I am. Hopefully Obama can get some stuff going to help with this recession (though I think we will just have to wait it out in actuality).
