Club HASAY Update March 16
With my husband getting laid off last week, the last thing on my mind has been eating right and exercising. Let’s say, I have had my fair share of chocolate and very fattening and good tasting foods in the last week. Actually upon thinking about it now, I
really didn’t eat that much junk except some little debbies (dh went out and got a box one night) and some pizza. Considering the circumstances I did really well actually. I figured I would make up a big batch of no-bake cookies or something and pig out, but I haven’t.
Although we had prepared a unemployment budget for “just in case”, I still have had some depression this week. Being prepared has kept both myself and my husband from losing sleep at night though. Dh drank a lot of beer those first few days. LOL. But now he is over it. The beer is gone and he doesn’t plan on buying anymore. I think the biggest reason for my little bit of depression is due to having to start all over to get our house put in. We were so close (closing by the end of the month) and it had been such a long process. Now we must start all over again. So, getting over the disappointment has been difficult.
I did some exercise on Saturday - the only reason I know this is because the muscles in my legs are aching. LOL. I tried cleaning the living room and vacuuming it while the little ones were in there! It took me two hours! LOL. We’ve had some really nice weather here and I hope it continues for a while. Then I can take the kiddos for a walk everyday!

Sorry to hear about your husband’s job, it’s hard enough to eat healthy when things are going smoothly, harder still when a crisis presents itself. Forgive yourself the occasional candy bar. The exercise at least will keep your mind off things. Hopefully things will improve for your family soon and then you can make lame excuses for the candy bar binges like the rest of us.
